Freediving is the art of underwater breath-holding. It covers a wide range of recreations from snorkeling to synchronized swimming and spearfishing, but is best recognized as competitive apnea.
AIDA or the International Association for the Development of Apnea was founded in 1992 with the first World Championship in 1996. AIDA continues to be the leading international association for breath-hold diving. AIDA oversees the recognition of records, organizes competitions, and sets the standards for Freediving education.

Training includes Static and Dynamic apnea and a session on the reef providing a foundation to build upon in the AIDA 2** course. In just one day, you will learn basic breathing, relaxation, and breath-holding techniques to boost your confidence and comfort in the water. |
 | AIDA 2** develops a strong foundation of Freediving knowledge, skills, and safety. Experience four distinct disciplines of apnea: Static, Dynamic, Constant Weight, and Free Immersion. A natural progression from AIDA 1* or a first course for those accustomed to the water, AIDA 2** introduces the sport of Freediving in an exciting and dynamic way. |
 | AIDA 3*** advances your ability and awareness, taking you deeper into the sport of Freediving. Fine tune your techniques and learn to train independently to enhance your personal performance. Theory topics are expanded upon from AIDA 2** and include more advanced concepts of deeper diving. This course leaves you with the confidence of a safe and skilled freediver. |
