Instructor Development Course

Trawangan Dive is running monthly Instructor Development Courses and invites you to join, finally giving you the opportunity to have the job of your dreams.   For the duration of the course you have backpacker accommodation and lunch included in the price, meaning that you can spend plenty of time with your fellow candidates and get the most out of the IDC experience.  Unlike the typical 10 day IDC ours runs for 16 days, this gives plenty of time for workshops on each of the courses, ensuring that once you pass your Instructor Examination you will feel completely ready and confident to teach all courses right the way up to Divemaster.  Additional days are included as part of the IDC to give personal one on one attention to each candidate, helping to fine-tune individual skills.

IDC Preparation

What can you do to Prepare yourself for your upcoming IDC?

The easiest way to prepare yourself for your IDC is to assist on PADI courses,  whether it be at your current location or with us here at Trawangan Dive. If you have access to PADI course DVD's they are also of great use as they contain a lot of information that may have slipped your mind as you have been climbing the career ladder. They also help put you back into a student divers mindset. Another great tool for you to use is the Diving Knowledge Workbook, but don't worry to much about getting your theory up to scratch as here at Trawangan Dive we take a more active approach in your teaching by providing theory workshops to recap all of your Divemaster theory, including Physics, Physiology, Equipment, RDP and Skills and Environment.
