Turtle Paradise Gili Islands
We here in the Gili Islands are amazingly lucky to be in one of the few, if not the only place on earth where seeing a turtle in the wild is all but guaranteed. This is mainly because the Gili Islands are marked as an important area for marine turtle conservation. There is even a dive site called Turtle Heaven where you can easily find a handful turtles on one spot.
Our location in the Lombok Strait, at the exact point where the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean and colder waters of the Indian Ocean meet, means that we enjoy the largest variety of marine life on the planet.
